Google Arts & Culture is a non-profit initiative whose mission is to preserve and bring the world’s art and culture online so it’s accessible to anyone, anywhere. Google Arts & Culture partners with over 2000 institutions from more than 80 countries.

After the Simone Handbag Museum closed in 2021, we digitized the spaces of the museum to keep them alive online in virtual reality tours. In addition, partnering and collaborating with Google Arts & Culture, we opened an online space for museum’s exhibitions. After the official launch on December 7th, more than 850 valuable collections and archives that show 500 years of history of handbags became accessible to anyone in the world.

Everybody can now explore them in new ways such as by color or by time and learn interesting stories, “The making of the museum of handbags”, “The beginning of handbags” and “Women and handbags”. Explore Simone Handbag Museum on Google Arts & Culture (https://artsandculture.google.com/partner/simone-handbag-museum) or using the free app on iOS or Android.
